MT. KAILASH AND MANSAROVAR YATRA

9 Days

Kailash and Mansarovar Yara: Standing majestically at 6,714 meters in western Tibet, Mount Kailash is a sacred peak venerated by four major religions. Hindus revere it as the abode of Lord Shiva, while Tibetan Buddhists regard it as the home of Samvara, a powerful deity. In the ancient Bon religion, it is known as Swastika Mountain, the descent point of the creator deity Shenrab.

The 53-kilometer circumambulation route around Mount Kailash, known as the Kailash Kora, is a central pilgrimage for Hindus and Buddhists, drawing countless visitors each year. According to legend, completing a single Kora absolves one’s sins, while 108 repetitions are believed to lead to enlightenment.

Lake Manasarovar

At the foot of Mount Kailash lies the sacred freshwater Lake Manasarovar, elevated at 4,580 meters. A holy dip in its waters is believed to grant access to Brahma’s paradise, while drinking from the lake is said to wash away all sins.
